Body Change is the brain child of Jim Paulin. After making his own physical transformation, he discovered a passion for health and wanted others to experience the same feelings he had. Starting out with family in their garage, he eventually got his first paying customer. After that there was no holding back as he let his clients serve as walking billboards. Ten years later, after helping thousands in the community, we have our own custom facility to serve the needs of our clients. Recently Jim passed ownership down to his wife, Susan, and daughter, Brittany (so that it is literally a Woman’s World). Just because this business is woman dominate, don’t underestimate these ladies, who will put any man to shame with a kettlebell. They continue to carry on the wellness torch, along with head trainer Jeannine. Here is a snippet of each of them and of some others, who our business would not be complete without. Click the links to read posts written by each for a little more insight into their own journeys:
There from conception, she took a risk 6 years ago to quit her job and join Jim full-time. Hard-working doesn’t even fully embody, this stellar woman (and I’m not just saying this because she is my mom, just ask anyone, I am frequently bombarded with praise of how wonderful she is). Besides handling the business, she takes pride in working with her clients. They are her people and she looks forward to coming to work in order to serve them everyday. Trained in kettlebells, don’t let her sweetness fool you, she is a stickler for form and pushes you to accomplish levels outside of what you think you’re capable of. She goes above and beyond to help; she really wants to make the Wabash Valley a healthier place. Check out what Sue has to say in her own words, Women of BC: Susan.
The other part of the ownership coin, most of the time you will be reading my thoughts, research and self-experiments as I seek to find out the healthiest way of living not only for myself, but others. A bit of a dreamer (you’ll note frequent undertones of inspirational talk as I journey through my 20’s and self-discovery), I have aspirations to make the world a healthier place. I have a passion for cooking and food, and I really view it as a preventative way of life (I’m eating for my future more so than to be ‘skinny’). I have dreams of my own market someday, but work right now to serve by hosting a cooking class once a month and offering my own personal services to anyone needing them. Clearly I love to research and do my best to keep up to date in the world of nutrition. I graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor in Science (exercise science). I’ve always been fascinated with the human form and love strength, catch me in the gym and I’m probably lifting something heavy (here I am preparing to do an 80 lbs Turkish Get-Up). Here’s my post on my journey, Women of BC: Brittany.
With us from the beginning, she was our first non-family member client. Unbelievably strong and great at motivating you to push beyond what you’d be willing to try on your own, we’d put her abs up against any 20-year old (and she is in her 50’s). Tough as nails, she knows her way around a kettlebell. We are so grateful for her continued support; she has been with us faithfully for so long, BC would not be the same without her. If you want to hear from Jeannine herself, check out her post, Women of BC: Jeannine.
Jennifer Mathews
Our newest family member, Jennifer has brought us the gift of Zumba. With a fun-loving
personality, she was an ideal fit for our newest class. She makes the class seem accessible to anyone, as she takes time to show moves or show modifications so everyone can follow along. With her jangly skirt and encouraging instruction, the hour goes by quickly and you almost forget that you’ve done a workout. One thing that struck me most, was when she said she just loves doing it. She has a job, and isn’t in zumba for the money, but to get a workout herself, to keep it fun and help others feel the same way. Things definitely work out as they’re supposed to because that is how we run our business. You can’t help but smile once you’ve left one of Jennifer’s classes. It is something we’re passionate and want to do, we look at serving first. We want to help others and Jennifer perfectly into this family. Check her out on Zumba.com. A post is coming soon on Jennifer’s own perspective.
A long-time, faithful client she does so much for us voluntarily. Probably one of our biggest cheer leaders, she does her best to promote us out in the community and by posting on Facebook for all her friends to see. She is also a fabulous photographer, so any beautiful pictures (like from cooking class) that you see on here, are mostly likely her work. A great asset to this business, she makes it a prettier place.
Dr. Susan Sharifi, M.D./M.S. Nutritional Science
Dr. Sharifi started out as a client of ours five years ago and has lost 90 pounds and kept it off in that time. She has been integral in our research and in promoting the fat-burner lifestyle. Teaching her patients (she is a neurologist) about the importance of fats for your brain: especially fish oil, quality extra virgin olive oil, coconut oil and grass-fed butter. She dedicates herself to making people healthier so that they can have a quality life. She has done so much for us: speaking before cooking class and giving guest lectures. Catch her on the blog occasionally for a guest post. I feel fortunate, not only to be able to pick her brain and talk health, but to consider her a friend. She is a great woman and a great example of a fat-burner. Check her out on the testimonies page.
Another supportive client, Lisa not only cracks us up, but entertains the crowds in cooking class (actually anytime you’re around her), as my cooking assistant. She will be our first client to have a fat head on the wall, with her stunning Rosie the Riveter pose. To find out more about Lisa check out our testimonies page.
Brennan Ragon
Although technically not an employee anymore, we still consider
Brennan to be part of the BC Family (he is after all in the family pic in the office). He did his internship with us last summer and continues with his transformation (which he has done a kick-ass job at), so that he now has the lowest body fat in the facility. As we tend to get carried away and creative when surrounded by kettlebells, you will find him in several videos already on here, and probably in more to come (maybe sometime I’ll get one of his brother Bryton too!). Anyways, as an inspirational transformation and kettlebell muse, he had to be included. Check out his summer experience with us: A One of a Kind Experience.
Gavin and Trenton Woelfle
Okay, so they’re not actually official employees, but you will be seeing them frequently. These are my 2 and 4-year-old nephews. You will see them on here, because they’re so dang cute and talented. Training with kettlebells since they could walk, they demonstrate that exercise can be fun for anyone. They also inspire me to think about children’s nutrition and I often test my sweeter recipes on them. If I can get their thumbs-up then I know I have a winner.

Hi
I just had to tell you that I love this fat burner eating plan(I know better than to ever say diet lol..) I started at 156 I know big but just could not lose the weight after my 4th baby. I tried EVERYTHING not eating, low carb, low calorie, soup diets, cleanses I am assuming you get the point. I started this Fat Burner and the weight and inches has been flying off. I am not cheating at all!!!!!!!!!!! I have went from 156 to 135 in just under 2 weeks. It is coming off sooooo fast that even my husband and kids have noticed.(which usually the do not when a gradual loss) My skin looks great thanks to the olive oil and fish oil. I am comig to my moms in April and plan on stocking up on your fish oil and olive oil. I am having my mom buy me kettle bells from you for my B-day. Oh, and another thing I have no cravings ever!!! And no PMS which I normally have really bad!! My mom sent your info of the plan in the mail to me and I also read things you post on this site. Just wanted to share the success I am having! Thank you. You guys are the best! See you in April.
Ronda
